Sara and I are kinda sorta (she is, I am a 20yr vet of CA) California natives who got married in 2010 and then promptly moved to Arizona to pursue our dreams of home ownership and family building.
Cali is so expensive am I right???
I am a full-time hairstylist with my own salon in Chandler and Sara is now a specialist in the economic arts and a kick butt professional mom.
We got hooked up through our church (yay God!) and basically spent every single day together ever since.
That is except for that one super dark period where I traveled every month for a week lol. Those were not amazing times.
So off we went to the land of the blazing sun, burn baby burn, where housing was for real, dirt cheaaaap.
We picked up a house in mid 2011 with all the rest of the money we had and promptly realized we had no furniture.
From a 1 bed/1 bath apartment to a (then palatial) 4 bed/2.5 bath 2000sqf monster! Even the bedroom stuff was sad and lonely!
I immediately went to work being the cheapest bastard I could and not buying anything that wasn’t 80% off or free. Friends and family have good stuff they don’t want? Yes please!
At that point we didn’t even care if it looked good in the house. Anything was better than bare walls and floors!
Now we’ve been in the house for 6 years (yay again!) and it is so stupid packed with stuff it’s time to have a good old fashioned purge to bring us back to just the favorites.
How did we do it for no cash? Hang out with us and we’ll show you how!
For profit and design,
Anthony and Sara
